| Home >> Beaches in Goa > Vagator Beach |
The Vagator beach is part of a 30 km stretch of beach coastline along the
west coast of Goa. Vagator is younger and cooler than Anjuna but is also
more plagued by the Indian tourists who arrive by coach. The confluence of
golden sand doted with black lava rocks and swaying coconut and palm trees
provides for an idyllic getaway. Dominated by the red ramparts of Chapora
Fort, Vagator's broad white sandy beach - Big Vagator Beach also known, as "Little
Vagator" is undeniably beautiful, just like a picture postcard. Anjuna
and Vagator both are popular venues for the trance parties and the swimming
is also pretty good here. Vagator beach, you can see the 500-year-old
Portuguese Fort. The view from this fort is absolutely stunning, you get to
see wide expanse of greenery and the blue sea till your eyes can reach.| - Vagator's Springs - Shiva Carving |
