About
Bogmolo Beach

Bogmolo Beach situated just south of Vasco da Gama and fringed by green
hills on three sides, its grainy golden sand and big surf make Bogmalo an
undisputedly different experience. The sandy beach at the end of the cove
would be even more picturesque were it not for the monstrous multi-storey
edifice perched above it. Bogmalo is mostly safe to swim though the surf can
be dodgy. Expensive café-bars pulsating with Western music have crept
up the beach, while the slender streets nearby are prowled by tireless
Kashmiri handicraft vendors. The beach is clean and not too crowded, the
water reasonably safe for swimming, and there are plenty of places to eat,
drink and shop. At Hollant, there is a stream at the side, so while the tide
is going out, staying within the waist-deep area is a better idea.
